Californication season 2 blows your mind. Hank Moody (David Duchovny) shines new light on what it can feel like to be a New Yorker livin’ in Hell-LA. The man has me sold with a brand new collection of on screen mannerisms and lewd behavior. But before all good light shines down, a rock legend has his story to tell. It’s plain and simple folks, Lew Ashby (Callum Keith Rennie) is rock history. Furthermore, our favorite characters from the first season stand and deliver. Chuck Runkle (Evan Handler) and Marcy (Pamela Adlon) share their swing and battle through love in the darkest depths LA has to offer all of us. And when the writers pick us up, ice-cold blackouts drop us down to ground. The scenes remind us this: at the end of the day, it’s all about her. ‘N u kno dis man! Karen and Becka are the perfect complementary balance to Moody. I just have to say that the on screen work of Duchovny and Rennie is fucking brilliant. Furreal yo!
